Our Home Economics Department was delighted to welcome two representatives from the Livestock and Meat Commission (LMC), who cooked up a feast for our Year 9 students! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

The LMC team, made up of trained school cookery demonstrators, delivered an engaging and informative session highlighting the nutritional importance of Northern Ireland Farm Quality Assured (NIFQA) beef and lamb. Students learned about food safety, hygiene, quality assurance, provenance, and a range of cooking methods — all while enjoying a live cooking demonstration. 🍽️

The best part? Sampling the delicious dishes! 😋A huge thank-you to the LMC team for an inspiring and educational visit — our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We were delighted to welcome the University Roadshow to Saint Kevin’s College this week! The event was designed to increase accessibility to higher education providers, giving our Year 13 and Year 14 students the opportunity to meet representatives from a range of universities and colleges.

Students gained valuable insight into courses, entry requirements, student life, and future career pathways, helping them make informed decisions about the next step in their educational journey. 🌟

A big thank-you to the visiting universities and organisers for such an informative and inspiring event — our students left feeling motivated and excited for the future! 💫
