25th November 2025

Last Thursday, students from St Kevin’s College proudly represented their school at Stormont as part of a special event marking World Children’s Day. They joined young people from schools across Northern Ireland to celebrate this important occasion, which focuses on promoting and protecting the rights of children worldwide.

The event was designed to give students a voice on issues that matter most to them, while also helping them understand the role of government and how they can influence positive change in their communities. Throughout the day, participants engaged in discussions about children’s rights, equality, and the importance of youth involvement in decision-making.

A highlight of the day was the opportunity to meet Chris Quinn, the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Children and Young People.

By taking part in this event, the St Kevin’s students demonstrated leadership, confidence, and a commitment to making a difference. Their participation reflects the school’s dedication to empowering young people and encouraging active citizenship.
