Congratulations to our fantastic Year 9 Girls & Boys Gaelic teams who participated in the Yr9 Fermanagh Gaelic Schools blitz on Friday at Lissan GAA Centre.

Our girls competed successful in the group stages with the 'A' team beating Mount Lourdes, St. Aidan's, St. Mary's Irvinestown and St. Fanchea's. Unfortunately they narrowly lost to St. Aidan's in the semi-final. Our 'B' team competed very well in games against Erne Integrated, St. Fanchea's, St, Aidan's and Mount Lourdes, but again narrowly lost at the semi-final stage.

In the boys sections there was tough opposition from a number of schools including St Michael's, St. Joesph's, St. Aidan's and Erne Integrated.

The 'B' team played very well in the group stages and had wins over St. Joseph's and Erne Integrated - unfortunately they were unable to progress past the semi-final stage.

The 'A' faced St. Aidan's in the first group game and came through the tough encounter with a victory. They progressed through the rest of the group games with wins over St. Michaels and St. Joseph's Enniskillen. At the semi-final stage they played in determined fashion to secure a win over St. Michael's and progress to the final. Here they met St. Aidan's for a second time - it was close encounter but the boys dug deep into their reserves and secure the tournament victory with a 3 point winning margin. Player of the tournament, Rory made a superb block in the dying secs to help secure victory.

The girls and boys represented themselves in a very respectful manner and did their school and clubs proud throughout the day - Well done to everyone!

We were delighted to welcome the P7 Students who are joining us in September - we had days full of fun and games with our Well-being team leading the way with giant snakes and ladders, splat and friendship bracelet making!

A huge well done to our girls' soccer team who took part in the Desmond Cup on Wednesday at the Bawnacre in Irvinestown. The girls played group games against Devenish College, St Mary's, Erne Integrated and Castlederg High school.

There were some great individual and team performances throughout the day. This is the first year the girls have entered the competition, and they did brilliant as they finished the group stages unbeaten with 3 draws and a win, fantastic achievement!
