10th October 2024

We celebrated world mental health day with signature green ribbons.

This year’s theme set by the World Federation of Mental Health is workplace mental health. The theme highlights the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, for the benefit of people, organisations, and communities.

Our virtual "Green Ribbon" Postcard was sent to all Staff, Parents and Pupils on this World Mental Health Day 2024. This was on behalf of 10KH and 14KM who delivered their Assemblies this week.

Our Students in the Pod created a display by pin weaving a green ribbon - everyone helped out and I’m sure you will agree the results are amazing!

Our Year 10 and Year 14 students have been actively fundraising for Cancer NI and Macmillan through two Coffee mornings. One event was organized during the students' breaks, while the other was held specifically for the staff.

The students contributed homemade treats and received donations from the school community, as part of their annual fundraising goals. Year 10 successfully raised £650, while Year 14 raised £390.

Congratulations to all participants!

In a welcoming school environment, every member of the community is valued, supported, and appreciated, fostering a sense of unity and belonging. The well-being team often highlights acts of kindness and gratitude, such as giving homemade treats to teachers and support staff, to promote this atmosphere. This monthly event allows everyone time to catch up over a wee cuppa and enjoy some sweet treats!
