10th April 2025

This week in Schools across the 32 Counties it is Cuban na mBunscol Week.

Cuban na mBunscol encourages the promotional of Gaelic Games as a Healthy Lifestyle among boys and girls of primary school age. St Kevin’s College where delighted to allow 3 members of our Year 13’s who are also members of the Fermanagh GAA Team to go out and talk about their experience of playing Gaelic Games in their Local Clubs, Primary School, Secondary School and on into playing at Inter County Level with Fermanagh GAA.  The three Year 13 Pupils were Conor Casey, Daire Chapman & Ben Caughey.

These 3 Young Fermanagh Players visited 3 local Primary Schools this week – St Mary’s Primary School Newtownbulter, St Tierney’s Primary School Roslea & St Ronan’s Primary School, Lisnaskea.  They gave a presentation and also took the primary school children for a GAA Football Skills Development Session.

The pupils were accompanied by St Kevin’s PE Technician (and past pupil) Declan Wilson. Principal Gary Kelly said these 3 boys are a credit to their families, their local club, school and the County of Fermanagh – showcasing what GAA Sports can do to develop our young people.

Tomorrow some staff and students will be taking on an ALL DAY cycle at Saint Kevin's College to fundraise for The Oak Healthy Living Centre 🚴🏻‍♀️

A great way to get the community involved, get in the sunshine & raise money for a brilliant service in Lisnaskea ☀️🚲

Any donations/sponsorship would be greatly appreciated!!

7th April 2025

We are excited to announce that on the 30th of April, 2025, we will be hosting a fantastic event known as Cash for Kids Day, which promises to be an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. This special day will feature an incredible lineup of entertainment, including the talented DJs from Cool FM, who are known for their energetic and engaging performances that get everyone in the mood to celebrate. Additionally, we are thrilled to have the renowned Lisa McHugh, whose captivating voice and lively stage presence will surely be a highlight of the day. Alongside her, the charismatic Paddy Treacy will also be performing, adding to the excitement with his unique style and charm. To top it all off, our very own Trad group will be showcasing their traditional music, bringing a local flavor to the festivities and ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

In addition to the fantastic entertainment, we have a special challenge planned for the day: we are aiming to collectively walk one million steps! This ambitious goal is not just about physical activity; it is also a wonderful opportunity to foster teamwork and camaraderie among participants. To make the event even more competitive and engaging, the class that secures the highest amount of sponsorship will be rewarded with an exclusive walk in the beautiful surroundings of Lough Erne, taking place the day before our country-themed day. This prize will not only provide a chance to enjoy the stunning natural landscape but also serve as a memorable bonding experience for the winning class.

We encourage all students to get involved and make a difference by participating in this event. To take part, please be sure to collect your sponsorship forms from your Year head during this week. It’s a great opportunity to gather support from family, friends, and the community while contributing to a worthy cause. Let’s come together to make Cash for Kids Day a resounding success, filled with fun, music, and the spirit of giving!
