7th October 2026
It is a pleasure to introduce myself; I am Stuart Watson, the director Make A Melody Ltd.
We are delivering a Youth Programme for young people aged 16 - 21 from Newtownbutler, Clones and Belturbet. It's part of the RESTART project, led by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
It consists of 5 Saturday workshops at Gortatole Outdoor Learning Centre, and one residential weekend, where young people can have a go at archery, canoeing, rock climbing, abseiling, caving and wild camping, alongside music and creative sessions. The aim is to build confidence and resilience and to bring young people from across the border together. It's completely free, and transport is provided from a pick-up point in each town.
There are 10 places per town on this first programme:
Saturday Dates:
- 21 November 2026
- 12 December 2026
- 9 January 2027
- 6 February 2027
- 6 March 2027
Residential weekend:
- Friday 2nd to Sunday 4 July 2027- Venue: Gortatole Outdoor Learning Centre, Co.
Fermanagh would you be willing to share the attached poster with your members aged 16 - 21 and their parents, through your noticeboard, social media or newsletter? I'm also happy to come along to meet and share with the young people about it in person.
