✨ What an unforgettable trip of a lifetime!
Our students recently enjoyed an incredible adventure in Iceland, exploring some of the country’s most spectacular natural wonders and experiencing first-hand the amazing geographical features that make Iceland so unique.
From relaxing in the world-famous Blue Lagoon, surrounded by incredible volcanic landscapes, to witnessing the breathtaking Gullfoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls, there was something amazing around every corner! 🌋💦
The group enjoyed a fascinating visit to the Hellisheiði Geothermal Power Plant, learning how Iceland harnesses its volcanic activity to generate renewable energy. They also witnessed erupting geysers, explored the dramatic Reynisfjara black sand beach with its striking basalt columns, and took on the challenge of an unforgettable glacier hike at Sólheimajökull! 🏔️
One of the highlights was visiting Þingvellir National Park, where the students had the amazing opportunity to walk between two tectonic plates! The group also enjoyed an evening of sightseeing and shopping in the vibrant capital city of Reykjavík. 🛍️🌍
From glaciers and waterfalls to geothermal energy and fascinating coastal landforms, our pupils packed so much into this incredible trip, bringing their learning to life while making memories that will last a lifetime!
A massive well done to Mrs Devlin for organising such a fantastic trip and to Mr Kelly for accompanying the group and helping make this adventure so special. 👏 A huge well done to all our students for embracing every opportunity and making the most of this wonderful experience!
